Breast Reconstruction
Dr. Le Blanc performs breast reconstruction surgery for women who have undergone a mastectomy, partial mastectomy or lumpectomy following breast cancer treatment. Because each woman’s situation is unique, Dr. Le Blanc will collaborate with you and your other physicians to create a surgical plan that is best for you.
Dr. Le Blanc specializes in implant based breast reconstruction. The current trend in breast reconstruction is direct to implant and prepectoral positioning of the implant. This means that the permanent implants are placed at the time of the mastectomy instead of a temporary tissue expander if the patient is a candidate. Placement of the implant in the prepectoral (above the muscle) position greatly reduces postoperative pain and facilitates healing with a more natural appearing outcome.

Breast Reconstruction Revision
Breast Reconstruction is a complicated and individual process. Certain expected and unexpected complications can arise that require immediate or more commonly, delayed revision. Dr. Le Blanc specializes in all types of revision reconstruction procedures including implant exchange, site change from subpectoral to prepectoral (under the muscle to above the muscle), implant removal and fat grafting to improve contour.
